I am a California (landlord/property owner/realtor) who believes that all Californians have a right to healthy, secure and affordable housing in the communities they call home. To that end, I support policies that keep families in their homes today, including strong rent control and just cause eviction protections.
It’s time to repeal the Costa Hawkins Rental Housing Act, which prohibits rent control from applying to many forms of housing, and leaves thousands of Californians vulnerable to rent hikes and unfair evictions.
I pledge to stand with all Californians struggling to resist displacement and work for the repeal of the Costa Hawkins Act.
